Questionmark Perception

QMP downtime postponed

IT Services will no longer be performing maintenance on Questionmark Perception from 9 am – 12 noon on Tuesday 11th April, so QMP will now be available during that time. The maintenance work will be rescheduled for later in the year; we will update this blog with further details when we have them.

QMP unavailable Tue 11th April, 9 am – 12 noon

IT Services will be performing some essential maintenance on Questionmark Perception from 9 am – 12 noon on Tuesday 11th April; as a result, the service will be unavailable during that time.

Network issues resolved

IT Services have reported that the network issues affecting University services (including Questionmark Perception) earlier today have been resolved. Further information can be found on the IT Services status page.

Network issues affecting QMP access

Questionmark Perception terminal server maintenance 11 April 2016

The Questionmark Perception terminal server will be unavailable, due to necessary maintenance work, on Monday 11 April 2016 between 10 am and 11 am. This will only affect staff accessing Authoring Manager remotely via the terminal server. It will have no effect on staff using Authoring Manager where it is installed on their own PC, or on staff using Enterprise Manager. It will also have no effect on students taking assessments in Questionmark Perception.

Brief QMP outage, 27 January, 3.15 pm

IT Services will be moving the server on which Questionmark Perception is located, in the afternoon of Wednesday 27 January. During the move, QMP will be available on a virtual server. Users should not notice any change, except for possibly a brief outage as the service is switched between the physical and virtual server at 3.15 pm, and a similar outage when it is switched back, which should occur at around 3.45 pm. There should be no significant effect on any activity taking place on Questionmark Perception, but the period between 3.15 and 4 pm should be considered an “at risk” period.

Brief QMP service interruption, Thursday 14 January

IT Services are preparing to relocate the Questionmark Perception server. As part of this process, there will be a 30-second interruption to the Questionmark Perception service shortly after 8 am tomorrow, Thursday 14 January. There is very little chance of data loss during this brief outage, but we recommend that work should not be done using Questionmark Perception between 8 am and 8.30 am tomorrow.

QuestionMark Perception available (10am Tuesday 9 June)

QuestionMark Perception is available again. IT Services are still investigating the underlying issue. Therefore, QMP should be regarded as “at risk”, and the service not relied upon. We will post a further update when this situation changes.

QuestionMark Perception unavailable (9am Tuesday 9 June)

QuestionMark Perception is currently unavailable – there is a problem with signing in. IT Services are investigating, and we will update you as soon as we have any further information.

QMP at risk period – Mon 8th June 8.00-10.00 am

On Monday 8th June essential network maintenance will be taking place between 8.00am and 10.00am which may affect Questionmark Perception (QMP).  There is no scheduled critical activity at this time. If you are planning activity using QMP we recommend avoiding this period.
