Blackboard now available 05/02/2016

IT services have worked to fix the problem with the network configuration  in our central Data Centre that was affecting access to Blackboard and most other University systems.  All Blackboard services should now be available to users.  Please see updates on the IT Services status pages: http://www.bristol.ac.uk/it-services/news/status/ or on facebook: https://www.facebook.com/uob.it

Blackboard smart views 04/02/2016

When accessing your smart views in the grade centre, if you find you are presented with a list of all students instead of your particular group,  please:

Click on your group name in the grade centre menu

Choose ‘Grade with Usernames Hidden’ from the drop down next to the column heading.

You should now see only your group of students.

We have reported the bug to Blackboard who are investigating and we will keep you updated with any information, in the meantime we apologise for any inconvenience this causes to your marking.

Please inform TEL help about critical dates

We are currently collecting information on critical activities for Blackboard and QuestionMark Perception for this coming academic year. Critical activities are those for which it is essential that TEL systems such as Blackboard or QMP are available, such as assignment submissions or online exams.

Critical activity information is very important as it is used to schedule downtime for essential maintenance to Blackboard, QMP and other systems with the least disruption to you and your students. The information also helps us and IT Services to more effectively support students and staff in the event of an unexpected disruption to Blackboard, QMP, Turnitin or related services (such as MyBristol).

Please click this link http://tinyurl.com/zjb8szf and follow the instructions outlined in the form to send us the required information.

Thank you very much
